Matt Correa releases «Cucarachas,» the first single
from his upcoming album
Matt Correa kicks off a series of releases that will culminate in his new album,
scheduled to be completed in approximately 18 weeks. The producer presents
“Cucarachas” (GRML049), the first single from a set of eight tracks that, at first glance,
seem independent but actually reflect a period of intense creativity in his studio.
This period of inspiration coincides with significant changes in Matt Correa’s life,
including a move and the setup of a new studio, which created an ideal environment for production. During these months of seclusion, Matt worked on a series of projects that capture his emotions and experiences, resulting in a unique collection of tracks that flowed seamlessly, with one idea leading to the next. «Cucarachas» is one of those special creations that, originally conceived for his live performances, gained popularity on the dance floor. This led Matt Correa to include it in his upcoming album. The track is characterized by its deep bass and solid rhythm, with sampled sounds from classic synthesizers like the JV2080 and sequenced with an Akai MPC2500, achieving an old-school vibe. After several bars, it surprises with a vocal sample mentioning the iconic «cucarachas,» adding a distinctive touch to the track.
This single has undergone several previous versions, and what is presented today is the enhanced version 3.0. Additionally, there is a possibility of seeing remixes of this track in the near future, continuing its evolution.
